HaiJain Wang lodged a complaint at Pattaya City Police Station at 2.30am with investigating officer Police Lieutenant Colonel Thanya Udthong, saying the incident happened on Pattaya Second Road Soi 4. Details reached police through a Thai woman described as a friend of the tourist, who said Wang was walking along the roadside when a saloon car clipped him and caused injuries.
The driver reportedly stepped out to talk, but with communication breaking down, friends were called to the scene. Police were told two Thai men then attacked Wang, punching him until his face swelled and bruised; he also fell, cutting his knee. The pair allegedly drove off, though Wang managed to film the vehicle and those involved on his phone.
The car was initially identified as a white Honda Jazz with Chonburi plates, and the suspects were described as Thai men aged roughly 25 to 30 in black short-sleeved shirts. Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Foundation volunteers gave first aid, while Pattaya patrol officers and Tourist Police joined the response.
